①Arbois Station

★Go to Gare Avenue in front of the station and turn left at the end. When you cross on a bridge, you’ll find a house. It takes 15 minutes by walk.

②House of Louis Pasteur

★Continue to go straight on the street. When you arrive at Liberté Square, visit a chocolate shop. It takes 10 minutes.

★Go to Hôtel de Ville St from the square. It takes 5 minutes.

②House of Louis Pasteur

This is the house where Louis Pasteur, who invented the pasteurization method to prevent spoilage of milk, beer, etc., lived. Unlike the interior that he lived in during his childhood, it has been remodeled to his liking, and you can see the living spaces such as the kitchen and bedroom, as well as the laboratory. There are guided tours and free tours. During the free tours, you will receive a tablet and can learn various details.


★Continue to go straight on the street. When you arrive at Liberté Square, visit a chocolate shop. It takes 10 minutes.


③Hirsinger Edouard

This church is characterized by its ocher stone bell tower. There used to be another bell tower, but it was destroyed in a fire caused by fireworks and was rebuilt in 1716. The church itself was built in the 12th century and is a mix of Romanesque and Gothic styles. The interior of the church has a strong atmosphere with its stone walls, but in contrast, the stained glass windows give a sense of delicacy.


★Go to Faramand St and enter a path from Faramand Square. It takes 5 minutes.


⑥Capucins Bridge

This museum displays the collection of the family that lived in this mansion. We mainly stock art from the 17th to 19th centuries, and you can also see luxurious interiors.

⑨Pécaul Castle (Wine Museum)

This fortress was built in the 13th century and is currently used as a wine museum. Various varieties of grapes are planted around the castle. Inside the castle, there is an exhibition of equipment that explains how to make wine. In particular, there is an explanation of the process for producing yellow wine, which is only produced in this region, making this a recommended place for wine lovers.
