There is the purest lake in Europe in this town. The lake is surrounded by Alpes mountains and you can find the landscape that you want to look as long as possible. There are canals in the old area and we call this area the small Venice. You can profit the lake by walking along, but you should take a pleasure boat. You can taste reginal cheese foods at the restaurants of the old area.

①Annecy Station

★Go to Glieères St in front of the station and turn left at the end to go to Royale St. It takes 10 minutes by walk.

②Notre Dame de Liesse Church

★Continue to walk on Royale St. When you arrive at a park, turn left. It takes 5 minutes.

③Tourist Information Center

★Visit the park and go ahead as far as a lake. Then, turn right. It takes 10 minutes.

★When you walk along the lake, you find a town.

⑥Saint-François de Sales Church

★Exit the church and turn left, cross the bridge and turn right. Turn right at the end and you will arrive at the museum.

★Pass the bridge and turn left at the end to go to Sainte-Claire St. When you pass under a gate, turn right and go up Côte Perrière St. When you arrive at the summit, go to Tour La Reine St. It takes 20 minutes by walk.

★Go down Château St to return to Sainte-Claire St. Turn left and go back to the bridge of République St where you have already passed. When you go to the street, you return to the route where you have walked. Go back to the station with the same route.す

This church is located in a corner of the shopping district. You can see the orange walls, but the bell tower has white walls and a pointed blue roof. If you go around and look at the outside, you will see a golden statue of Mary decorated. The interior has an impressive monochrome Virgin Road ceiling painting.


★Continue to walk on Royale St. When you arrive at a park, turn left. It takes 5 minutes.


③Tourist Information Center

This church is located at the entrance to the old town. The church has a simple exterior with white walls, but the interior is a beautiful contrast between white and deep green.


★Exit the church and turn left, cross the bridge and turn right. Turn right at the end and you will arrive at the museum.


⑦Palace of Island

Once used as a prison, it is now a history museum. Renovation work was carried out in 2017.

This is the largest bridge over the canal, and you can see the canal clearly from here. At this point, cross the bridge and walk on the other side.

This castle is located up the hill from the old town. It is now a museum, with exhibits introducing local animals and paintings and other works of art. The view overlooking the lake from the outer wall is recommended.
