Grindelwald
・Mount First which can be reached by ropeway
・Mountain views of the Eiger, Jungfrau and more
【Village description】
Grindelwald is a small village at the foot of Mt. Eiger with a population of just under 4,000. It is also used as a base for going to mountains such as Jungfrau and Eiger. You can take a cable car from the village to Mt. First. The village has a beautiful townscape lined with hotels and restaurants for tourists, but there is nothing to see other than Mt. First, so your stay will be short, so I recommend stopping by on your way back from Jungfrau.

It is a mountain with an altitude of 2184m. When the weather is good, you can see Mt. Eiger and Mt. Jungfrau. You can enjoy hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter, and goats live on the summit. There are promenades on the rock walls of the mountain, so you can enjoy even better views. There are also several hiking trails, and the estimated time required is written on the signs, so it is recommended to choose one based on your time and your own physical strength. There are also other activities such as restaurants and a zip line that will take you down to the ropeway station one level below.
