Country Introduction

Italy is a boot-shaped country facing the Mediterranean Sea. Starting with the capital Rome, Florence, where the Renaissance developed, and Venice, the “City of Water,” each city has its own charm and attracts many tourists. Italy is also world-famous, with many art pieces, such as Michelangelo’s “David” and “The Last Judgment,” Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus,” and Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper,” all of which are worth seeing in person, as photography is prohibited in many places. As for cuisine, pizza and pasta are also popular with many people.

Where should you stay?

If you are traveling around Italy, I recommend staying in each city as you travel, since the cities are far apart.

When I went to Italy, I visited in the following order:

Milan ⇒ Venice ⇒ Florence and Pisa ⇒ Rome and Vatican
