Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city, has so many tourist attractions that it is impossible to see them all in one day. This site introduces four model courses that can be done in half a day, so you can plan your schedule in the morning and afternoon in your preferred combination. This page introduces a model course (④ on the map below) that uses the public bus loop line to go around the suburban museums and shopping streets.

This is where you get off the bus.

③Auckland War Memorial Museum★

Time required: 2h
Admission fee: 32 NZD
Opening hour: 10 am – 5 pm
(until 8h30 pm on Tuesday, open from 9 am Saturday, Sunday, national holidays)

This is a museum where you can learn about the history of Auckland. You can learn about a wide range of things about Auckland, from dinosaur fossils to traditional Maori houses, the history of the city, and animals.
There is also a daily performance of the Maori dance, Haka (additional fee of 30 NZD, held twice a day at 11h15 am and 1h45 pm).

Admission fee: 0 NZD
This is a park next to the museum. There is a greenhouse inside the park, where you can see tropical plants.

This shopping street in the Ponsonby district stretches for about 1 km. It is lined with many fashionable shops and restaurants, and has a suburban streetscape.
