【Start】
①Beaune Station

★Go to 8 September 1944 Avenue in front of the station and turn left to go to Maréchal Joffre Boulevard. It takes 10 minutes by walk.

②Tourist Information Center

★Continue to walk on the boulevard and turn right at the first crossroad. It takes 5 minutes by walk.

③Wine Market

★Enter the building opposite the market

④Old Hospital

★Go to the street in front of the old hospital and when you arrive at a forked road, go to the right way of République Avenue. Then, turn right at the first crossroad. It takes 5 minutes.

⑤Notre Dame Cathedral

★Go to Paul Laneyrie St beside the cathedral and turn right at the corner.

⑥Bourgogne Wine Museum

★Continue to walk on the street in front of the museum to arrive at Halle Square. Then, go to Carnot St to visit the central area. When you arrive at Monge Square, turn left. It takes 10 minutes by walk.

⑦Clock Tower

★Go to Lorraine St and turn right before a gate to go out of the town. It takes 10 minutes.

⑧City Hall

★Return the street and turn left at the first crossroad to go to Rousseau Deslandes St as far as a square. It takes 5 minutes by walk.

This hospital was founded by Nicolas Rolland, chancellor of Burgundy. Although the building dates back to the 15th century, it was used as a hospital until the 20th century. Inside, there is a reproduction of what the hospital looked like back then, and you can learn about what life was like at the time. The main attraction is the courtyard, where you can see the roofs typical of Burgundy. A must-see exhibit is the decorative folding screen depicting Roger Weiden’s “The Last Judgment.”


★Go to the street in front of the old hospital and when you arrive at a forked road, go to the right way of République Avenue. Then, turn right at the first crossroad. It takes 5 minutes.


⑤Notre Dame Cathedral

It is a simple church with almost no decoration on the stained glass.
The red color of the altar is emphasized on the sacred structure, which is based entirely on white.

⑥Bourgogne Wine Museum

A museum where you can learn about wine from the Burgundy region. Many exhibits include its history and the tools used in wine production.

Mural de La Grande Vadrouille

This mural depicts the filming of the 1966 French comedy film “The Great Stoll”. The actual filming took place at the Old Hospital. The movie is a popular work that still ranks fifth in the box office rankings in France.
