★Go to Louis Barthou Avenue. There is a pink building in the parking.

②Tourist Information Center

★Continue to walk on the street and turn left at a crossroad to go to Edouard VII Avenue. When you arrive at Georges Clemenceau Square, turn right and go to Mazagran St. When you arrive at a forked road, go to the right street to go to the beach. Then, turn right at the beach. It takes 20 minutes.

③Sea Museum

★Pass a bridge in front of the museum.

★Continue to walk on Maréchal Leclerc Boulevard for 15 minutes.

⑤Sainte-Eugénie Church

★Continue to walk on the street for 5 minutes.

★Walk the beachside for 10 minutes.

★Go up the street beside the hotel and turn left to go to Impératrice Avenue. It takes 10 minutes.

This is an aquarium facing the sea that was established in 1935. The aquarium has an Art Deco-style exterior where you can see colorful tropical fish, sea turtles, sea lions, and more. At certain times you can watch shark feeding shows and more.

④Rock of the Virgin

This is Biarritz’s most iconic tourist spot, with a statue of the Virgin Mary placed on top of a rock that was originally dug by Napoleon III. This statue of Mary was purchased at the Franco-Spanish Exposition held in Bayonne. On days when there are waves, the waves can be seen right in front of your eyes, making it very impressive.

⑤Sainte-Eugénie Church

This is a neo-Gothic church completed in the 20th century. The decoration is very detailed, and there are many distinctive parts such as the indigo-colored virgin road and the stairs that connect the altar and the chapel. When you look up in front of the altar, you’ll see a model of a ship hanging, giving it the feel of a church by the sea.

It is a beautiful white sand beach. In summer, many people enjoy swimming in the sea. There are restaurants along the beach, so you can enjoy just walking around.

A 5-star hotel in Great Beach. It is very luxurious as it was built as a villa for Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III.

This church is known as the Greek Orthodox Church or the Eastern Orthodox Church. Its distinctive dome-shaped roof resembles a blue sky when viewed from the inside. It is a two-story building, and each room is decorated with many religious paintings.


★Continue to go up the avenue. When you arrive at a park, enter the park to visit a light house. It takes 20 minutes.


⑨Lighthouse

This lighthouse was built in 1834. Climb the 248 steps and you will be able to see the sea and the beach from a height of 73 meters. Even if you can’t go up to the lighthouse, the view from the cape is beautiful, especially the sunset.
