【City description】
It’s a seaside town surrounded by walls and there is another fortress near the town. The town was a base for the pirates in the 17th century, in particular the pirate named Corsair had the right of the looting from the enemy’s ship by the French King. Although the town was destructed during the WWII, they took a long time to reconstruct the town. As it is a town popular for the tourist, there are many restaurants.

【Start】①Saint Malo Station
★Go straight on Nicolas Bouvier St from the station. It takes 20 minutes by walk. If you take a bus, take a bus of the line 1, 2 or 2 express at the station and get off at the bus stop of l’Intra-Muros. The ticket is 1.35 euros.
②Tourist Information Center★Before enter the city, go to a beach on the right of the tourist information center.
③National Fort★Go back to the tourist information center and enter into the city. When you enter, go to the right hand.
④Local History Museum★Go to Saint-Vincent St from the square and turn right at the end. Then, turn left to go up stairs and turn left. It takes 10 minutes by walk.
⑤St-Vincent Cathedral★Go to Pourpris St in front of the cathedral and turn right at the third crossroad. It takes 10 minutes by walk.
⑥Bastion Hollande★Turn left and go ahead until the next square.
⑦Bastion Saint-Philippe★Continue to walk on the rampart until the next gate. It takes 5 minutes.
⑧Dinan Gate★Go to Dinan St and turn right at Brevet Square where you have already passed. Then, turn left at the end and go straight on Vieille Boucherie St. When you arrive at Croix du Fief Square, turn right to go to Merciers St. When you arrive at a rampart, turn left. When you arrive at stairs, turn left. When you arrive at corner, go up stairs and walk on the rampart. It takes 30 minutes by walk.
⑨Bastion Saint Louis★Walk for 10 minutes.
⑩Big Gate★Turn right when you go down. As you return to the city entrance, go back to the station with the same route.
