It’s a medieval city surrounded by ramparts. There is the Rhone river on the west of the city and the Avignon Bridge is famous because the half of bridge is destroyed and became a children’s song. The Pape stayed in the palace before and it was the main city of the catholic.

③Tourist Information Center★Continue to walk on the street and turn right to go to Frédéric Mistral St. Then, turn left at the end. It takes 5 minutes.
④Angladon Museum★Go back to République St and continue to walk on the street. It takes 10 minutes.
⑤Horloge Square★Go to Jean Vilar Gps St.
⑥Palace of Papes★Go to the church next to the palace.
⑦Notre Dame des Doms Cathedral★Go to a park next to the church.
⑧Rock of Doms Park★Go down the stairs from the park and turn left at the river. It takes 10 minutes.
⑨Avignon Bridge★Continue to walk on the street and turn left to enter the city between ramparts. Then, turn right at the end to go to a pedestrian road. Turn left to go to a small tunnel of Puits de la Reille St and turn right at the first crossroad. Go straight on Balance St. As you return to Horloge Square, go back to the station with the same route. It takes 30 minutes.

It is the largest Gothic palace in Europe. There are several buildings on the grounds that you can tour, and you can learn about their history through exhibits and videos. It is one of the places that symbolize this city. Originally, there was a bridge that spanned all the way to the opposite bank, but due to several river floods, it was cut halfway. You can actually walk on the bridge.
