Region Description
This region east of Paris consists of two regions: Lorraine, centered around Nancy, and Champagne, centered around Reims. Art Nouveau flourished in Nancy, and you can see it all over the city. It is also famous as the birthplace of Quiche Lorraine. As the name suggests, the Champagne region is a champagne-producing region, and it is said that anything produced outside this region cannot be called champagne.
