【City description】
It’s a small town in the south of Strasbourg. It takes about 40 minutes by train. We can find some beautiful woody houses with the pascal color like blue and yellow. In addition, the wine is famous in this region so that we can benefit a good white wine. You should visit the town at the end of the year for the Christmas market.

★When you get out from the station, turn left and go straight on the Republic Avenue for 10 minutes by walk.
②Champ de Mars Park★When you enter the center city, turn left and turn right immediately. You arrive at the next destination at the forked road. It takes 5 minutes by walk.
③House of head★Go straight the East St as far as the dead end.
④Unterlinden Museum★Go straight Kléber St to go to the center area. You find the next destination on the left hand.
⑤Dominican Church★Turn left on Serruriers St beside the church. Go along the street as far as a square of another church.
⑥Saint-Martin Cathedral⑦Public toilet
★Go straight the street and turn right at the dead end. Go through Ancirnnr Douane Square and turn left at the dead end to join to Tanneurs St. It takes about 10 minutes.
⑧Small Venetia★Go to Ecoles St as far as the dead end and turn right. You’ll find the next destination on your right hand after 5 minutes.
⑨Antigua Aduana Plaza★Go to Marchants St as far as the first crossroad.
⑩Pfister house★When you continue to walk on Marchants St, you’ll return to Champ de Mars Park. You can go back to the station with the same route. It takes about 15 minutes.

This is a park between the station and the city center. It is a popular place for locals, and there is a skating rink in the winter. After passing through the park, you will enter the city center.

④Unterlinden Museum★

It is the second most visited museum in France outside of Paris. The object of interest is the “Isenheim Altarpiece” by German painter Grünewald. In addition, paintings and sculptures by Monet, modern art, etc. are on display, and renovation work was completed in 2015, so the interior is relatively new.

This church was built by Dominican monks in the 13th century. The impressive altarpiece, “Our Lady of the Rose Bush,” depicts the Virgin Mary in a red dress. During the Christmas market, shops are lined up surrounding this church.

⑥Saint-Martin Cathedral◎

This church is located a little way from the shopping district. It is quieter than the Dominican church above, but the white walls and beige pillars are impressive. At Christmas, there are objects depicting the birth of Christ.
