Nice beach

The Cote d’Azur region is famous for its beautiful Mediterranean Sea. During the summer holidays, people from all over France and all over the world come to this place for vacation. Nice is particularly famous for its beaches, but there are also other wonderful beaches such as Cannes.

Saint Paul de Vence

In addition to the coastal towns of the Côte d’Azur, there are also villages called Eagle’s Nest Villages in the inland areas. Eze and Saint-Paul-de-Vence are famous, and they are characterized by small villages with stone houses lined up on top of small hills to protect themselves from foreign enemies. Nicoise salad

Among regular salads, the one called Niçoise-style is characterized by the inclusion of tuna and anchovies. As the region faces the sea, it is famous for its seafood-based products.


It is a rice cracker-like food made with Egyptian bean flour. It is also sold in the old town of Nice to eat while walking around. Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with a bean flavor.


It is a pizza-like dish with onions, anchovies, and olives as toppings. Some restaurants serve it individually or as an appetizer.

Pan bagnat

This dish, which looks like a hamburger at first glance, is actually a sandwich, and can be found at food stalls around Nice. What is sandwiched is not meat, but the ingredients of the Nicoise-style salad introduced earlier, such as tuna, anchovies, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Therefore, it has a refreshing taste and is suitable for eating while walking.


Farcis is a meat-stuffed dish of tomatoes and peppers. Kneaded minced meat is stuffed inside hollowed-out vegetables and baked in the oven. It is a dish that is commonly eaten not only in this region but throughout France.
