New Zealand is known for having more than five times the number of sheep as its population, and lamb is a must-try ingredient. You can eat grilled ribs (rack of lamb) and braised shank meat (lamb shank) at restaurants. The photo shows lamb shank, and the meat is soft and tender with no unpleasant odor and is full of addictive flavor.
Pork Belly

Pork belly is the meat from the belly of a pig. In New Zealand, it is often roasted and served with apple sauce.
Meat Pie

Meat pies with various fillings are popular in New Zealand. There are many varieties made with chicken, beef, lamb, etc., and they can be easily found in many places, such as cafes and convenience stores.
Hamburger
There are more hamburger restaurants in New Zealand than in Japan. There are global hamburger chains like McDonald’s and Burger King, but there are also hamburger restaurants that originated in New Zealand. One of them is Burger Fuel.

The patties are made from 100% New Zealand beef and are packed with flavor, making them so delicious you’ll want to eat them again and again. If you eat them in the restaurant, they are served on an iron plate.
The other is Fergburger.

If the restaurant does not stock it, you can buy it at the supermarket, but it is the size of a whole cake, so it is quite filling.
