【Start】
①Angers Saint-Laud Station

★Go to Gare St and turn right at a roundabout. When you arrive at Roi René Boulevard, pass it and enter a park. It takes 15 minutes.

②Art Museum

★Return to the park and turn right to go to an abbey.

③Toussaint Abbey – David of Angers Gallery

★Go down Toussaint St in front of the abbey for 5 minutes.

④Tourist Information Center

★Continue to go down the street and turn right to visit a castle. It takes 5 minutes.

⑤Angers Castle

★Go to Saint-Aignan St and turn right when you arrive at stairs. It takes 10 minutes.

⑥St-Maurice Cathedral

★Go to the street beside the cathedral. When you arrive at Sainte-Croix Square, look at a house on the left hand.

⑦Adam’s house

★You’ll walk in the center street. Go to Saint-Aubin St and turn left at the first crossroad. Then, go to Franklin Roosevelt St. When you arrive at Raillement Square, go to Alsace St. When you arrive at Maréchal Foch Boulevard, turn right and walk with the rail of tramway. If you go straight, you can arrive at the station. It takes 30 minutes by walk.

We mainly stock works from the 14th century to the present day. The red room, which is mainly filled with 19th century portraits, is impressive. If you come from the park, you will arrive at the opposite side of the main entrance, but the door can be opened, so enter from here.

★Continue to go down the street and turn right to visit a castle. It takes 5 minutes.

It is a fortress-like castle surrounded by a moat, unlike other Loire castles.
The grounds include a chapel, a mansion, and a building that houses a huge tapestry called “The Revelation of John.” Inside the mansion, materials related to tapestries are mainly exhibited. You can see the city from the top of the castle wall.

Creme d'Anjou

Angers is famous for a sweet called Creme d’Anjou. Creme d’Anjou is a special cream made by adding egg whites and seasonings to whipped cream, and is usually eaten as is, but where I ate it, it was served as a parfait. Check out other Loire region specialties here! !

It is a Gothic style cathedral that stands at the top of the stairs. The interior has no side aisles, so its width is narrow for a cathedral. The stained glass is colorful and the rose window in particular is breathtakingly beautiful.


★Go to the street beside the cathedral. When you arrive at Sainte-Croix Square, look at a house on the left hand.


⑦Adam’s house

It is a house with a woven pattern located in a corner of the square behind the cathedral. Built at the end of the 15th century, the columns of this house are heavily carved.

★You’ll walk in the center street. Go to Saint-Aubin St and turn left at the first crossroad.
